Barkerville

Gold Rush town, with a great set of daily activities! It's a long trip for a single day. With an early departure from Timothy, spend the whole day at Barkerville, and maybe overnight in Quesnel before returning the next day. Reputed to offer awesome winter-time cross-country skiing, when everything's deserted... and... ghostly :-O

Spruce Hill (formerly 108) Resort and Spa

Golf, Tennis, outdoor pool and patio, horseback riding, sauna/whirlpool, outdoor tennis and volleyball, mountain-biking, cross-country skiing, restaurant. Back out to the Highway, turn left (south) for about 10min (30min total from door-to-door).

Ten-ee-ah Lodge at Spout Lake

Without going into town, you can enjoy a fabulous meal or other seasonal activities (horseback riding, mountain-bike trails, fishing, boating, canoeing, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing.

Hell's Gate Airtram, in the Fraser Canyon

An interesting mid-journey break, on your way to (or from) Timothy Lake. Ride the gondola down to the viewing-platform, and take a look at the exhibits and gift shop.
